CHARACTER ANALYSIS STANLEY KOWALSKI    In Tennessee Williams  endure , A   streetcar Named Desire, the main antagonist, Stanley Kowalski can only be described as down-to-earth and brutish. This is unquestionable and is evident  end-to-end the  sportswoman. Stanley is the antithesis of Blanche, polar opposites. She is   mute and fragile; he is loud and brutish.    The conflict in the play arises from Stellas arrival at the Kowalskis residence and the   go about together of these two contrasting characters. It is  non difficult to see and   gravel Stanleys motivation for most of his defining actions in the play, which   settle down from Blanche, who from his point of view is a disruptive presence that does  non belong in his house and she annoys him. Blanche, being there     joined with Stanleys dominant personality is the basis for his aggression and   trust in the play.    Stanley, as is so often claimed by Blanche is simple. His motivations throughout the play are not very complex;    he wants to be able to do what he wants and to maintain   counterfeit whle he is at it. Stanley is evidently an alpha male; if  psyche is doing something that he doesnt   approve of, whether it makes sense or not, he is going to disagree. That makes it very easy to understand his actions.

 Blanche arrived uninvited to his home- his   weeny castle, the place where Stanley dominates. This does not bode well and the relationship is   pressure from the onset.  Throughout the play, Blanche made changes to his home as well as trying to come between him and his wife, Stella. Stanley didnt approve of the  lamp shade simply bec   ause it wasnt his decision.
